The ALO audio Tinsel Wire Earphone Cable provides a balanced option for Campfire Audio Earphones. High purity silver-plated copper tinsel wire in FEP jackets deliver provide low microphonic performance in on-the-go applications.
FEP is similar to Teflon, is highly chemically resistant, sweat and water proof, highly transparent, resistant to sunlight UV and extremely durable. Most IEM cables use a cheap PVC jacket that is softer and not resistant to sweat and oils resulting in greening of the wire.
The FEP jacket will keep the conductors safe from oxidation that is commonly found in many earphone cables.  While oxidation doesn’t negatively affect the sonic quality of the cable, keeping it out ensures your cable will stay looking great for years.
Additionally, the dielectric constant of FEP is far better than PVC resulting in a superior sonic improvement.2.5mm (4-Pole) is a balanced termination that is compatible with the Astell&Kern DAPs balanced output.

The cable is very microphonic. As long as you remain perfectly still while listening/using your IEM, you will be fine. The slightest movement, whether the cable rubs on your clothing or you tap the cable with your hands or fingers, the sound of the interaction with any external material is transmitted to the IEMs which is very distracting and takes away from the pleasure of listening to the music. Would buy something different if you plan to use on the go.
